Ziptype / Legal
Terms of Use
These draft terms cover the Ziptype website, prompt library, Chrome extension, and Mac app.
1. What Ziptype does
Ziptype lets you save text, organize it into folders, and reuse it with shortcuts. The website includes an interactive demonstration and reusable prompt templates. Ziptype does not generate AI responses or operate the third-party applications shown in its examples.
2. Using Ziptype responsibly
Use Ziptype lawfully and only with content you are entitled to use. Do not use it to infringe others’ rights, distribute malicious content, interfere with services, or gain unauthorized access. Review expanded text before sending or publishing it.
3. Your content and backups
You retain your rights in the text and shortcuts you create. You are responsible for their contents and for maintaining backups of important data. Deleting application data or uninstalling the software may remove locally stored shortcuts. Export important presets before making those changes.
4. Prompt templates
You may copy, adapt, and use the prompt templates supplied in the Ziptype library for personal or commercial work. Replace bracketed placeholders and check the results produced by your chosen AI service. Templates are starting points, not guarantees of accurate, original, or suitable results, and are not professional medical, legal, or financial advice.
5. Third-party applications
Third-party services have their own terms and privacy practices. Their names and logos identify example workflows; they do not imply affiliation, endorsement, or certified compatibility. Text expansion can vary by website, editor, browser, and operating system.
6. Privacy and optional features
See the Privacy Policy for the published privacy information. Before enabling optional account or sync features, review the disclosures applicable to that version. The published policy must be reconciled with the current product’s data practices before these draft terms are finalized.
7. Availability and estimates
Features may change, and uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed. Time-saving figures are estimates based on stated assumptions, not measured or guaranteed productivity results. Nothing in the finalized terms should limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Updates and contact
Approved terms should include an effective date and explain how material changes will be communicated. For product questions, use the contact address listed on the Ziptype website.
Before publication
Confirm the legal operator, applicable jurisdiction, consumer rights, support contact, and any warranty or liability language. Review the privacy policy against optional cloud sync. Replace this draft notice only after approval; this page is currently marked noindex and excluded from the sitemap.
