Ziptype for Mac — 1.0.6 (7), installer revision 3 September 19, 2026 What changed A smaller installer with only the Ziptype wordmark, app and folder icons, a drag arrow, and one short instruction. Setup information stays on the website. The app inside is unchanged from 1.0.6 (7); this is a packaging-only update, not a functionality fix. The installer is Developer ID signed, Apple notarized, and ticket-stapled. macOS 13 or later. Apple Silicon and Intel. Installation 1. If you already use Ziptype, export a backup and quit the app first. 2. Open Ziptype.dmg and drag Ziptype to Applications. 3. Replace only the app. Do not delete its library or Application Support files. 4. Open Ziptype from Applications. It stays available in the menu bar. 5. Enable the installed copy in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility to try text expansion. Library access does not need this permission. 6. Save a disposable shortcut and try it in a standard text field. Compatibility and account availability - Real-world functionality was confirmed by the owner. Some custom editors may not support expansion. - Google sign-in and cloud sync remain limited to configured test accounts. - Clean second-Mac installation, update/data preservation and broader sync testing are not complete. - The existing privacy policy describes the earlier extension; account/sync disclosures and terms need review. Local use needs no account. Start with non-sensitive test shortcuts. Signing in alone does not upload your library. With an authorized test account, enabling sync can send your library, settings, usage statistics and achievements to Supabase after an explicit device/cloud review. Do not assume end-to-end encryption. If macOS rejects the installer, stop and contact support. Do not bypass Gatekeeper. Notarization does not establish feature correctness or guarantee against data loss.
